What is the next step after SPM?

People love to ask me what are my plannings after SPM. This is the question that everyone would ask a SPM leaver.

Some of the common answers are as follow:

1. I'll be going to enrol in ........college (because they are rich or simply wants to waste their
parents money)
2. I'm waiting for my SPM results.
3. No planning yet.
4. DUnno!!!
5. I plan to apply for scholarship. Depends on my results.
6. Ohh..I'm taking FORM 6
7. Bla bla bla

So which one would be my answer? Mine would be no.5. It will all depends on how good they will be. I heard that results will come out on the second week of March which will be next week! OMG.....It's so scary. When you enter the school, you will start to shiver and the blood will rush through the body at the maximum speed followed by adrenaline.

Let's just all pray for all SPM 2009 candidates to get good results. :D Fingers crossed!

What have I been doing all this while?

Initially, I was rotting at home. Watching HOuse MD. every day. Till date, I have watched up to Season 5, the final disc, moving on to Season 6 soon! :D But don't have much time to do so because I am working with in my mom now. Working as what? Admin and data entry clerk. Basically, I need to enter cash sales into the computer, photostat, fax and do whatever that's necessary. I get to earn money instead of sitting at home every single day. It's definitely a good exposure. 1 month of working experience enable me to actually understand how my parents actually suffer to after doing tonnes of job in the office. earning money to support our cost of living.

In January, I organized an Organ Donation Awareness Campaign. My life before and after the campaign was very hectic. There were many last minute changes. Fortunately, we managed to cope with the changes. Organizing an event is definitely not easy. Seriously! You need to call and email many people to make sure everything is ok. Then, you have to tell some white lies during the process. If not, the deal would not be a successful one. I couldn't sleep every night, worrying about what has not been done and etc. It's a total torture. You won't even have the appetite to eat. No joke. But still need to eat. If not, your hungry stomach will be the victim and make you fall sick in the end. Nevertheless, the campaign was a huge success. 169 people pledged as organ donors and 134 people came for the health screening. We managed to raised RM548 which was donated to the Patient Dialysis Welfare Fund of National Kidney Foundation.

After months of stress, SPM came to an end weeks ago. Woohoo! :D In a way, I'm happy that exams are over but sad because it marks the end of high school life. We can no longer wear school uniform, carry heavy bags to school and see each other every day, gossip and laugh out loud in the class and make teachers angry. Hahahahaha....!!! I bet a lot of people will miss the famous Aunty Irene's nasi lemak, those fried food and roti canai. Not forgetting the wonderful teachers who once tortured us with tonnes of homework ranging from lab report to essays. The copying part too when we forgot to do something or just lazy to do. :P Books will be flying from one corner to the other, from table to table meeting different students in the class. Student's life is always easier than an adult's life. All we need to do is to study hard, score good grades, excel in extra curricular activities and have fun in school but once we enter the adult's life, things will be totally different.

An end marks a new beginning of something. That's what people said.

On 10th December 2009 which is two days after SPM, my family and I were happily going to the night market to shop. When we reach the night market entrance, my mom's phone rang. The person on the phone said told my mom that her mom has passed away. My mom was like, what? Who said that my mother pass away? May I know who this is? So the lady on the phone told her that she is calling from the old folk's home, my grandma was placed in. From that moment, we know that grandma has passed away and she doesn't need to suffer anymore. She can rest in peace now.

I've been busy during that weekend. Don't ever think that job is gonna be easy for you when someone has passed away. It's far more tiring then what you usually do. My dad told me that there are three stages in life that makes you feel tired the most which are when someone:

1. Born

2. Get married

3. Passed away

Don' t take the things in your life for granted. Love the people around you. Visit them more often. Tell that you love them before you regret especially when the person you love is old and might be unable to talk and express their feelings one day. That's what happened to my grandma. She is unable to talk and swallow anymore when stroke hit her.

Don't hesitate anymore. Go back to your hometown and visit your grandparents and the one you love.

PS: Before my grandma pass away, she saw each one of us. So, I think she doesn't have any regrets before she leaves us.

When we were sitting for the Biology paper, noises are coming from all directions. And it's non-stop. Teachers are giving us the chance to learn how to continue doing the test without being distracted by it, I supposed. :D Form 3 students were screaming their lungs out as their PMR was over and they were having lots of fun in the field that we didn't have when we were Form 3 which is indeed very sad. Nothing was planned for us at that time. We played UNO cards in the class, the Game of Life, Monopoli and so on. This year, the Form 3 students were fortunate enough because the teachers took the initiative to plan activities for them but for us, we only get scolding by teachers for bringing cards to school. Nevertheless, we still had fun laughing and making noise in class. Construction work was going on upstairs to repair old ceilings (our school celebrated Golden Jubilee-you what that means right?) that are going to fall on someone very soon. That's where the noise comes in. They dragged the tables, hammered something and scared the ones on the bottom floor, us! Despite all the noises heard, we still managed to finish the paper on time.

Shall I consider myself as a nerd? Some used this adjective to describe me. No choice. I have to be like that sometimes to score good grades in exams. People see merits, not anything else. If you're not smart, you'll have to work extra harder to achieve what you want.

I don't revise until late night, skip meals and refrain from watching tv.

Burning the midnight oil will lower down your concentration in class. Be present in school every day! You'll be able to learn new stuff from the teachers. I know that there are teachers who don't explain properly and they will just skip the whole chapter assuming that they have taught us the entire chapter. If you choose to skip school, will you revise on your own? Probably no! You'll be online, logging in Facebook, chatting, playing games, watching tv half of your time, blogging and sleeping.

Hardworking people scores higher marks than a naturally smart person.

I had a nightmare two days ago. It's freaky! My teeth were falling one by one in my mouth and I just couldn't stop it. Eventually, every tooth fell. I was on my way to the dentist and the dentist told me that he cannot fix it anymore. Nothing can be done to my teeth. Ar......what had happened? Then, I woke up. The first thing I did was check my teeth. Thank GOD they are still there.

When exam is around the corner, parents tend to restrict their children from watching TV, their favourite shows. In every parent’s mind, memorising all the facts is the most important thing to do. Have they ever wonder how stressful that can be, how much pressure it exert on the poor child? I bet the answer will be no.

I can't restrict myself from watching TV daily. It's a must to watch all my favourite shows. :D I can't be sitting in my room and study 24/7. Taking a rest helps to rejuvenate my body and brain. A deep breath and light exercise will be good too! You can choose to take a bite or a cold drink in the meantime.

I personally think that there's nothing wrong in watching. You are still gaining knowledge, improving your language and other necessary skills which also depend on what you are watching. Even cartoons or animations are beneficial. They bring positive messages. Korean, Japanese, Taiwan or Chinese drama is equally good. Many skills can be learned from here besides the textbook which is full of facts, texts and silly elaborations which I don’t know why they have to be in there. Probably to make the book thicker and look as if it’s full of useful information but actually there isn’t. Some are just short notes and questions with no answers to it. So, where can we find those answers? Very simple! In revision books which involves money. Can all the students afford a RM20++ book each subject? Let say, we have a minimum of 3 subjects that is RM20 X 3 = RM60. It’s a pretty large amount already for poor families.

Nothing is impossible in this world. Everyone has their own talent which will one day help them to succeed and shine proudly in those fields. Although you are not good in studying, try to ask others to teach you. Don't just throw your book one side and say "I'm not a good student" or "Nothing is going into my brain!" Try to learn it up and at least show your parents a pass and, at the same time, you can further develop on what you are good at. For instance, dancing, sports, etc.

It's never too late to realise. It's the matter of knowing yourself and doing whatever you wish and like to do.

7 Don't after meal

#1 Don't smoke- Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher).

#2 Don't eat fruits immediately - Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hr after meal or 1hr before meal.

#3 Don't drink tea - Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest.

#4 Don't loosen your belt - Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine to be twisted & blocked.

#5 Don't bathe - Bathing will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach.

#6 Don't walk about - People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you will live till 99. In actual fact this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake.

#7 Don't sleep immediately - The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric & infection in our intestine.

Influenzavirus A is a genus of the Orthomyxoviridae family of viruses. Influenzavirus A includes only one species: Influenza A virus which causes influenza in birds and some mammals. Strains of all subtypes of influenza A virus have been isolated from wild birds, although disease is uncommon. Some isolates of influenza A virus cause severe disease both in domestic poultry and, rarely, in humans. Occasionally viruses are transmitted from wild aquatic birds to domestic poultry and this may cause an outbreak or give rise to human influenza pandemics.
Influenza A viruses are negative sense, single-stranded, segmented RNA viruses. There are several subtypes, labeled according to an H number (for the type of hemagglutinin) and an N number (for the type of neuraminidase). There are 16 different H antigens (H1 to H16) and nine different N antigens (N1 to N9). Wasting Paper

I realise that the people in my school like to waste paper. Even a small document is printed on one piece. Then, when it's not right, they ask us to reprint again. ...........................:x Reprint and reprint and reprint, non-stop like we are paper producer. Printing out all the scrap books, folio and etc also the same. Just imagine what is going to happen if one person in the class prints out 20 pages and in a class with 40 students, there will be 800 pages. 800 pieces of paper wasted per day. No one actually realise this.

Every printed assignments that have been handed in will somehow enter the recycle bin or into the dustbin. Isn't that such a waste?

I don't intend to take part in any item for the literary night this year but somehow or rather, I involved myself in Opening Act once again and also in an instrumental item. Everything comes without a proper plan. It's always like that. At first, i have never thought of joining PJI also but ended up being a member of the club.

Things will never be amazing if everything have been pre-planned! It's like a route that you have to follow for the rest of your life. Nothing interesting will pops up unless you put your hand into something. You'll never know what something is unless you try, touch or smell it.

Give it a try! It might make a difference in you.

This orange and white stick that contains tobacco, tar, nicotine and all the harmful materials is really killing a lot of people. I wonder who created it and why do people get addicted to smoking? People could smoke one after another like drinking cups of coffee continuously.

They are earning money to buy diseases for themselves and to pay for medical bills after that to cure it. Isn't it dumb to do so? Is it necessary to smoke? I don't get why they like to avoid from problems instead of finding a way to solve it. The only thing they know how to do is to sit there and smoke. Not just that, they also harm the people around with their secondary which, in turn, more detrimental.

On my home from school, I noticed that there are more than 50 cigarettes on the side of the road where the grass are. Malaysian don't seem to like their health and appreciate what they earn. That's why there aren't enough places in the National Heart Centre. It's fully occupied with all these 'SMART' people with smoke.

My experiences in a village. The green environment surround the village and stars twinkle brightly at night. The simplicity of their life really taught me something. To them, there's not much worries. Their main source of income is the paddy field. They plant crops but most of time, they need to buy them as well because what they have planted are to be sent to the factory to be processed and to be exported out of the country. They don't demand for much stuff. I love the peaceful and tranquil setting but in Malaysia , there's no where without any criminal cases. There's Mat rempit cases which is the hottest news these days and lesser robbery.
I think the villagers are less slightly to get any sight-related problems because they are exposed to greenery and being swept away by strong winds. The winds are as strong as the CFC given out by your air-conditioner. It's cooling! :D You'll be reluctant to leave this place although it's just a 2 days 1 night trip.

Assunta won the Challenge Trophy and cash prize of RM 400. Roar! Roar! ROar! Singing school songs in front of the school helps!

From 7.30-10.30 or sometimes 11.00pm, I can feel UV rays penetrating through my skin and my sweat glands are working efficiently, flooding my entire body with sweat. All because of sports day rehearsals. The teachers don't seem to understand our feeling under such "NICE" weather. They just went on talking crap. Poor marchers have to stand under the bright sun which is giving out heat like a stick. Cannot move! Can imagine how bad that is? My goodness, I think I'm turning into a roasted chicken. Perhaps a burned one.

Nowadays, the word 'sorry' is often misuse by people. They will just say sorry when a mistake is done. Most of the time, they will purposely say it to calm you down before he or she enter into a bowl of hot soup and when your face turn red literally.

The most annoying part is when someone borrowed your book and did not have the courtesy to return it ON TIME. They will just come to you and start saying sorry.....sorry la.....I know you are very angry. If I were you, I'll be angry as well when you have eventually recopied everything in a new book! Annoying to the max! Am I right fellow goody goody people around? Your so call friends or your dearest classmates can just take your book without permission and on their very own copying machine. Then, hand our finished work late and causes the big, fat and ugly 'LEWAT' word to be there.

Do they know what is the meaning of the word sorry in the first place? I doubt so.

Guess what has happened today? We couldn't a teacher's car. So, we go around pressing the button hoping that we could hear the beep sound but unfortunately we did not. :D So, we went and ask a teacher, and there we go!

Yesterday, we were dieing of dehydration soon but we cannot drink water because is MAths! No drinking...! We were finding for opportunities to ask permission from her and whisper with each other about it. It's we are totally desperate. Gosh!

What did I do? I wasn't at home. So the lights in my house are definitely off. I attended a prize giving ceremony at Shook! Feast Village, Starhill Gallery. It was totally a bomb! Lots of local artists present, namely, Stephanie Chai and Deborah Henry as the host of the evening, Young environmentalist and performer, Jes Ebrahim, Dr.Sheikh, our very own astronaut, Sean Ghazi, Deanna Yusuf and etc. The event began with the YTL Green Ribbon Award Presentation by the YTL's Director of Investment, Ruth Yeoh. Yes, I finally get my RM2000. :D Haha..but it's not mine. Sad right? Any how I'm still glad that we form the GO Green Team! So proud of it!! Cheers. ...Then, it the story-telling session by Dr.Sheikh about what he saw from the space and how critical the condition of the Earth followed by performance by Sean Ghazi and Deanna Yusuf. Next, was the live performance by Jes Ebrahim and the members Tree Theatre Group. It was truly inspiring.

Kids are willing to carry out their responsibility, why can't we? They are really passionate and I totally admire their passion and enthusiasm. So, please people. Wake up! Look around you. Off non-essential lights daily and not just during Earth Hour ok.

Last Saturday, Wen Yuin and her family, Sok Yeng, myself amd my mommy went for a amazing concert at Connaught Avenue. We get to meet artists from Hong Kong and Malaysia, namely, Gary Cao as you can see in the photos below, Grasshopper, Yuen Siu Cheong, Beyong, Fang Tong Pin(God knows who :D), Kenny B, Lom Kam Wing and last but not least Lui Fong.

We had a very long journey before we finally our destination. 3 u-turns were made and Wen Yuin's dad keep calling his friend which ended bringing all of us round and round Cheras.

Holiday?

One week of holiday don't seem like holiday at all. Way too busy than what I have expected.

The holiday kick off with the trip to SUNWAY LAGOON but before that we had to do some data work in school which later lead to a problem to us. Our teacher treat us so well and gave us 1/2 dozen of soya milk and bread. If you went to Sunway Lagoon before, you will know that food and drinks are NOT ALLOWED! Guess what we did? We hid all the food in the bushes. Hahaha.....very smart right? INDEED!

Wen Yuin, my darling (currently emo-ing), Sok Yeng, Ratna (my acc partners), Amala(apparently the most dependable person-Siamang) and myself. :D

What?

We went on most of the rides. Riding on the Lost City of Gold (the train according to AMALA) 8 times but is actually a roller coaster, 4 times on the Niagara Force (TOTALLY WET) and Colorado Fall (if I'm not wrong), twice.

I had 2 days of Accounts class too. Having roti canai or mix rice as lunch everyday. High cholesterol and carbs. Coke also! We had to fiinish this 1.5 liters coke. Our stomach is practically full! Exploding soon...............

Do you notice that whenever you make a mistake, people will always remember about it without fail? They often remind you about it until you are too annoyed with what you have done. it will be like " Why did I say that?", "What did I do? " That kind of thing.

No matter how well you have done, how good and discipline you are, mistake is still a mistake. That's the perspective in most of the typical people's mind. I know it's very sad but that's the fact.

If you make silly mistakes in your exam papers then it's fine or I shall say GOOD FOR YOU! Do you know why? When you make a real silly mistake, you will remember it and never repeat it in your entire life unless you don't even bother to look at your paper after you got them back and chuck it into the waste paper basket. That's TOO BAD! The waste paper basket will gain the knowledge then and you remain blank! Zero in your brain.

Make mistakes that don't affect your life much. Don't ever make unnecessary mistake like fighting with your teacher for no reason, throw bad words on them and etc.

Tips to a less stress life:

1. Be friends with teachers. That really helps!
2. Smile and greet them. :D They will sure remember you.
3. Answer their questions in class unless you are really freaked out or don't know the answer.
4. Manage your time well.
5. Don't delay your work. Finish up your homework on that day itself. Piling them up like Mount
Everest will make your life miserable.
6. Sleep as long as you can. Not too much. 6-8 hours will be perfect for your brain.
7. Watch tv, listen to music and eat all your favourite food.
8. Don't study TOO much. I repeat TOO much. Still have to study but not for 24/7.
9. Be friend with variety of people that cheer you up all the time.

Implementation of RULES!

Thousands of rules were implemented this few days. Anything that you want to do in school need a permission slip. That piece of paper mean a lot. It prevents you from stepping into a bowl of hot soup.

Some people just don't know exactly how to manage. The unfair attitude and ignoring questions person irritates me a lot. This week can be classified as a frustrating week. Everything outside the classroom and lab don't seem to go on well.

Prefects have to sacrifice recess just to give class marks and stand in the class, observing. Reasonable or not? No right! Ask us not to eat but not that we are doing something that is very beneficial. If in that case, I have to sacrifice 3 days of recess just for that. Is health more important or to take care of the class more important? Sigh....I know it's my duty to take care but I'm still a normal human that need to eat and drink. Already been sitting in the class for hours, during recess have to be inside also, just that not in my own one. Fed up!

We can no longer go out from Gate C anymore. The school made us exercise by asking us to walk all the way to the bus stop. :(

A great leader often WORK WITH their members and not INSTRUCT them to work under you as well as not to form CLIQUES. Thats what is basically happening since Form 1. The person that I've been observing since then. Really have no idea why butterfly like to land on it. Any idea? Hmm...perhaps with should conduct an experiment to find out.

Not forgetting, the typical people that love to say different things at different time that complicates everything at the end of the day and don't admit their mistakes 'Did I say that, I don't think I did.' Have you come across that?

What's up on Saturday? Activities lined up from morning till night.

1. Wake up on a Saturday morning to go for Cross Country Run.
2. Leo Idol Auditions from 3.00-6.00pm
3. Watching The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at night.

That's what you should do before the exam starts to release unwanted stress that brings you headache, causes imsomnia, loss of appetite and so on.

Practically, I'll be sweating for almost half of the Saturday running around the Taman Jaya's lake and to make sure everything goes well during the leo idol auditions.

Finally, I get to rest at night in the cinema. I hope I won't doze off half way. The curious case of Benjamin Button should keep me awake, I supposed!

Solution of Triangle

Usually we use sine rule and cosine rule to solve a problem involving triangles. The answer can either be right or wrong, it's already fixed! No other possible answers that can fit into a specific equation but in real life, practically nothing remains constant. One situation can switch to the other one in split second without you knowing what is happening at that very moment just like how they switch faces in China. The same principle applies to human nature. That's why Oscar Awards came out to appreciate all the 'Good Actors and Actress' in the film industry.

This post is becoming more complicated as it goes down. Life can be very simple but it's you that complicate it. People nowadays, love to solve problems. Guess WHY? Because students are being thought to solve too much of problems in school. So, they eventually adapt to these kind of situation and finding a solution for a problem is just as easy as ABC (kacang putih saja). Sometimes, going through the obstacle in life is worse than the most difficult add maths questions. At least, there are definite answers for all the questions unlike the frustration, disappointment and failure that you face in your everyday life that seems to stuck in your head for a very long time.

Back to the solution of triangles. A sine rule can only be applied if the angle and the corresponding sides are given. Without the information, it's ridiculous that you can find the answer. Without a suitable pair, nothing can be solved. Likewise, in a relationship, only a suitable couple can live happily ever after. Not every relationship can last forever like what is normally written in fairy tales where girls can definitely meet their prince charming.

Normally, we have a long list of wishes which we made every single day. Especially during school hours, students regularly hope that teachers don't come into the class to teach. So that they can do their own work instead of dozing off during lessons which are most of the time boring! A wish that is made by a girl, periodically not what a girl need.

Girls always wish that they could meet with guys that are perfect. Rich, handsome, responsible, loyal, don't drink and smoke, caring and the list continues. The guy that you have met might not be your lifetime partner. You may like him at that moment but that's time where you actually like his character but not the person. Do you get what I'm trying to say here? The feeling is just temporarily.

A woman that give birth to a baby girl will often be blamed for not giving birth to a baby boy. (A little bit of Bio lessons coming in)

Girls have XX chromosomes while guys have XY chromosomes. So, in order to produce a male, that Y chromosome should be transferred to the embryo right? In your point of view, who should be blamed?

We, the Assuntarians have been so excited to meet the Japanese from the Nose High School, Osaka, Japan since last year when we were told that 5Sc1 and 5Sc2 were chosen to participate in this event. Each of us paired up with a Japanese partner and slowly we get to know each other via email.

The day had finally come. YES! It was yesterday, 5th of Feb 2009. So, we had to stay back in school the day before to get all the decorations done. It was a hectic day! Indeed. Really exhausting yet worth it. Is a once in a lifetime chance for us to be so close with the Japanese students.

Say Goodbye/Sayonara

It was extremely amusing but tiring! We get to bond with each other, learn about their japanese culture, new japanese words and meet new friends!

Indian Stick Dance

1, 2,3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8(turn). We thaught the Japanese how to dance the Indian Stick Dance on the spot. They learn up the 8 steps and we start dancing at the centre of the hall. Everyone became so dizzy after turning around so many times. :D

Interaction Time-Congkak, Inai drawing & Origami

Japanese learned how to play congkak, the traditional Malay game. Their hands were tired after putting marbles into the holes for quite some time. They are just not used to it. There was this Japanese guy (Amala's partner) who knows how to play the congkak. He play really well. My partner was quite good at it after we have demonstrate it to him.

Then, it's drawing time. We drew flowers, cartoon characters, traditional indian inai designs, writing names and practically anything on their hand. They were amazed! And they get to bring the Inai back to Japan! Yay.

What's next? Folding origami. He thaught me how to fold a bird. Ha..ha..I finally learn how to fold one bird. Thanks to Kurebe!

Trip to KLCC and Central Market

We were a little bit behind schedule. So, we don't have much time to shop around. Before we reach KLCC, we had a photography session. After posing for the photo, we departed to KLCC and head to Central Market via LRT. Guess what? I got cramped between the LRT doors for few seconds. That train was scary. No signal was given before the door was close. I was rushing in with my Kurebe and there goes the door, 'Pup'! OUch!..........:( Stupid door. I'll never go on that train again! Ish. Oh ya! One more thing, LRT love to corner a lot. We are practically going off balance everytime it turns. Even when it stops. As we enter Central Market, we saw a shop selling t-shirts with 'amazing' words on it such as BMW stands for 'Bloody Mahal Wheels' / 'Burn My Wallet', 'Keep Malaysia Clean, Throw Your Rubbish in Singapore' and lots more. We as Malaysians weren't interested to buy anything from they because we understand that this place sells stuff at a very high price! SUPER EXPENSIVE! :D Japanese were not very into buying souvenirs too. Only my partner bought a shirt worth RM40.

Dinner at Saloma Restaurant

It is only 5 something in the evening and we need to have our lunch already. YEAH, SO EARLY! What did we eat? Something pretty normal. Before we start our dinner, we 'YAM SENG' with the japanese guys in our group, Group 11. It started off with a bowl of Malay styled chicken soup followed by fried rice and dishes, deserts which were watermelon, pineapple, papaya and honey dew as well as a cup of coffee or tea. The whole meal cost us RM40 per head as what I heard from them. So costly! I can enjoy better food in hotels with that amount of money.

Time past as fast as meteors from the sky. We had to say see you again to our Japanese friends! :( They have to leave us already. Sigh. Happy moments always flies fast. That's why we will have to cherish every moment we have with them.

Admiration

Ah....she is so pretty! I wish I could be like her. Does this phrase sounds familiar to you? We often envy others ranging from his/her capabilities, talent, characteristics, appearance, smartness, flexibility and the list goes on. Some just can't stop admiring others. Admiring others is not a bad thing to do. Not a crime. It actually help us to further develop ourselves. Believe it or not? It has a long list of advantages!

BUT before you begin to admire others, you will have to admire, love and appreciate yourself.

Morihei Ueshiba (1883 ~ 1969) was one of the world's greatest martial artists, as well as a Japanese philosopher. He pointed out that besides admiring others, we are to admire life itself. For everything has something to teach us. In his book, "The Art of Peace," he writes, "Contemplate the workings of this world, listen to the words of the wise, and take all that is good as your own. With this as your base, open your own door to truth. Do not overlook the truth that is right before you. Study how water flows in a valley stream, smoothly and freely between the rocks. Also learn from the holy books and wise people. Everything - even mountains, rivers, plants, and trees - should be your teacher."

Admiration boost up your level of confident and spirit to revise your work in order to be one of the best among the best. You automatically do something without the need of your parents to remind you. "Start studying now!", "No more tv."

It's also a source of happiness when you are being admired and highly-respected by your friends, the juniors and everyone else. The sense of satisfaction you gain. The 'UMPH'!

Why should we want to cultivate the art of admiration of others? What better reason than to grow. We learn about ourselves when we learn who and what we admire. Admiration is a stepping stone. It raises us to a higher level. Here 's what Thomas Mann (1875 ~ 1955) had to say about it, "I have always been an admirer. I regard the gift of admiration as indispensable if one is to amount to something; I don't know where I would be without it."

Tight and Hectic Schedules

So what are you gonna do when there is so little time left to do a long list of things?

1. Having sleepless nights everyday to finish up all the school works, drawing GRAPHS, doing
PEKA, experimental reports and etc.....
2. HAve a cup of coffee or tea to keep you awake.
3. Copy your friends' work.
4. Manage your own time well!
5. Forget it! I don't plan to do my task anymore.
6. OMG! What should I do? God please help me out.
7. Sleep in class or which ever place that is available. I don't mind!

Form 5 students are very familiar with No.1 right? I'm sure you guys do! We do that practically everyday. Drawing so many graphs in a week. Writing out reports. Typing name lists! Hectic!!!!!

So, don't think Form 5 is gonna be an easy year ya! Every teacher will keep repeating this sentence "Girls, you are in Form 5 now and this is your last year in school."

A fresh start

I barely passed my Opportunity test and passed my Experience test! YAY! The very first good news of 2009. Biology scrap book DONE! Only left the chapter 8 notes. What does she wanna torture us???? WHY? Don't bother! :D

NEW YEAR! NEW Resolutions.

What are my new wishes?

Hmm..well! They simple!

1. Study well , pay full attention and keep stable results.
2. Continue to be active in whatever activities I take part in.
3. Can see Pn.S lesser in a day and make her not to scold me the whole year including other
teachers. (I'll help all of u to do something if u need but don't scold me pls! I'm freaked out)
4. 11 A1 in SPM.
5. I can make up mind, whether in taking Lit in Eng or Art?
6. Good health everyone! PArents, friends, relatives, brother, teachers and whoever I know!
Not forgetting my own health!
(I want to be an athlete :D)
7. Full Scholarships! I need it to further my studies!
8. Get to know more ppl, getting new buddies.
9. Persevere till the end and face any challenges with an optimistic mind! Never be over
confident or having lost self-esteem!

That's it for now. I read this book entitled 'Be careful of What You Wish For'. Whatever Heather, the main character wished for, came through but ended up badly. So think carefully! Begin 2009 with 9 wishes.

13 hours-Out of Home

Great intense for fellow PMR candidates of 2008. IS PMR RESULT DAY! OMG.....did I get straight A's or did I not? .............................What if I got a B or a C? People begin to hug each other, sighing and jumping all over the school to cheer for their excellent results or to cry their heart out. Science or Arts? That's all! PMR is just to determine which class you will be in. In short, is the entry ticket to the best class or the lower classes.

Date: 30th Dec 2008
Time: 8.30am-9.30pm.

Agenda of the hectic day:
1. Take our SPBT textbooks
2. Helping out teachers to do analysis and to give out the results
3. LEO board meeting
4. Leo MEmbership Drive banner painting
5. Dinner

Initially, 20 prefects is supposed to come yesterday to help out but only 15 turn up. Ar ha..there goes Pearly being nagged by Mdm.Yong bcoz of excessive food were ordered. We had to do the analysis, give out the results and the terrifying flower was letting out her tantrums on us when someone remove the slips from the file! At the same time, we have to collect our 17 super heavy textbooks.

Telling lame jokes to Pn.Mano and Pn.Thana was indeed funny.

After we have done our duty, we have to go for leo board meeting with Lion Ivan. Discussing about our upcoming projects to raise funds, recruiting new members, comm.service and the list goes on.

Then, is painting time but actually is drawing time only. Ms.Viji and Ms.Tan came to us and said "The school is closing at 4.45pm, don't stay until 6.00pm or 7.00pm." Right! We had to call Mak to come pick us up as he had promised to help us out earlier. Guess what, he is still in 1U when we called him, is 4.38pm at that time. Thank God for sending someone that eventually knows how to drive if not we will have to walk all the way to Deb's grandma's hse near La Salle PJ school with a box of paints and our super heavy textbooks.

Only five of the board members left out of 11, namely, Debs, Bernice, Wen Yuin, Pei San and Myself including Mak. We continue painting our banner till 7 something where hunger begin to strike! HUNGRY! Is supposed to be dinner time now. :D

We went to Lotus. Mak entertain us with all sorts of jokes and stories. The Ming Kim's one was funny. Microsoft....Oh shit! Where is Weng Siong? (Pointing at him which is not in the game)...He had to drink again.

Coke+Ajinomoto, Detrimental

Dear friendsI received a news about the recent tactic used to spike girls' drink. it is a cheap and widely used method. This method was used in Canny Ong murder. Rapist uses this method. Coca-cola + ajinomoto/monosodium glutamate = a medicine which will cause drowsiness and excitement in the victim . This mixture is poisonous if used too often on the victim.

PS: DO NOT accept coca-cola or any other drinks from stranger/even if it is your friend that you are not very close with.
